Isn't it amazing all of the ways creative minds are using mobile technology to improve health—like this one?
Not sure how long to brush your teeth? With this app, do it until the music stops playing and you've got it covered.
Check out this video about the Brush DJ app, developed by British dentist Ben Underwood.
PRWeb says
users can also set reminders for brushing, flossing, using mouth rinse and remembering their next dental appointment.
And, if a survey by the British Dental Health Foundation is any indicator, reminders might not be a bad idea. The survey found nearly 59 percent of
women regularly miss brushing their teeth before turning in at night. Only about one in five people use dental floss and just more than one-fourth use
electric toothbrushes.
In the U.S., on average, people brush only about 45 seconds, less than half the recommended time.
