Johnson & Johnson
is now using Facebook to promote and run a contest where everyday people can nominate a nurse that has touched his or her life.
The Amazing Nurses Contest, part of Johnson & Johnson's Campaign for Nursing's Future, will recognize
20 semifinalists, five finalists, and one grand prize winner over the course of the next few months, culminating with a winner being announced in
December.
Via Facebook, Johnson & Johnson is reaching out to millions of users to nominate someone who deserves this honor. This approach is a direct and innovative way
to reach out to patients, as well as a way to recognize and reward the hard work of nurses around the country.
Here's the grand prize: An all-expense paid trip to Los Angeles, two tickets to attend the 2011 CNN Heroes: All-Star Tribute, and an appearance in a
Johnson & Johnson-sponsored TV commercial.
Not too shabby.
Nominations will be accepted until Sept. 11, and semifinalists, finalists, and winner will be selected over the course of the final four months of the
year. If you think you know a nurse worthy of the grand prize, go ahead and nominate him or her.
