This chocolate company is trying to inspire kids to eat healthy
Check out this chocolate bar that weighs 12,000 pounds.
How can you teach children to make healthier food choices? By making a chocolate bar that's 21 feet long and weighs more than 12,000 pounds.
At least, that's the tactic being employed for that purpose by World's Finest Chocolate, a Chicago-based company that
is best known for making $1 chocolate bars sold door to door in school fundraising projects. Chances are, you've probably bought, sold or eaten one of
their bars at some point in your life.
In what they're calling the "Think Big, Eat Smart"
tour, World's Finest Chocolate is taking its colossal confection on the road. According to the tour's official website, "The tour brings an upbeat
message of moderation, portion control, and active lifestyles to schools around the country in a fun, engaging way. There's even a special song and
dance to get you moving toward the good life."
There's also a social media campaign to promote the tour, incorporating Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. Along the way they've
managed to get their bar certified as the world's largest by Guiness World Records and featured on the Today show.
The only thing that's missing is a Golden Ticket.
